Mr Abraham Kiragu Kabere holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Kenyatta University and a Diploma in Environmental Management from Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute. He is an Environmental and Natural Resources Assessment Practitioner. Abraham is a registered Associate Expert by the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) in Kenya.

He has four year of experience in Environmental Impact Assessment and Audits, Environmental Laws and Regulations, baseline survey assignments, natural resources management and conservation, impact assessment study, environmental monitoring & evaluation of projects and environmental health and safety assessment.  Abraham was recently engaged as a research assistant in an Impact Assessment Study of Water Service Trust Fund (WSTF) Rural and Water Resources Investment Consultancy Services by GIS Africa.

He has worked as an Environmental and Ecological Monitor and Health and Safety assessor in the field for Seismic Survey for Oil and Gas Exploration by Tullow Oil BV. He was providing technical assistance in the implementation of Environmental Management Plan (EMP) as well as implementation of Health and Safety Regulations. He has also provided technical support on carrying out various Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit on a number of Oil Blocks in Kenya as well as other structural projects.

He has wide Knowledge on Kenya unique and distinct ecological systems ranging from forestry, inland waters, marine ecosystem, rangeland and arid and semi-arid ecosystems through numerous travels on assignments and field activities.

 

He delivers on consultancy services with the SLS Group under Center for Environmental Law & Policy.
